Welcome back and like always thanks for checking this out!

Let me start by saying that Dan and I LOVE adventure shoots. Whether they're for an engagement, elopement, or just for fun, they give us the opportunity to do what we do best. Step out into nature and create.

I briefly mentioned in our last blog post about our trip through Montana and Wyoming how we first met Garrett

SO... We met Garrett and Charlie on a hike in Grand Teton National Park. Honestly, it was Charlie and his mohawk that roped us in. We got to chatting with Garrett at the bottom of Hidden Falls, after we gave Charlie a good scratching, and it turns out we had a lot in common. Garrett transformed his van into his home (something Dan and I are very interested in) and was driving cross country. He mentioned passing through New York after he picks up his gorgeous and talented girlfriend, Jordan (who we haven't met yet).

He went on his way and we went on ours but we never lost touch. Lo and behold a few months later in early November they drove into into the lower Hudson Valley area and we picked a date and a place.

It was a pretty chilly day, which was to the benefit of our beers, but being November we embraced the crisp air. Thats why people come to New York, isn't it? Autumn is one of a kind here. We met up at one of our favorite spots in Cold spring, NY and cracked a couple of said beers, it was chilly so we had to keep warm somehow, right?

The two of them are such naturals in front of the camera, we were able to just shoot and chat while they moved effortlessly in front of our lenses. Not everyone feels comfortable in front of a camera which is totally normal and its nothing a little small talk can't fix. After hanging out around the base of a small waterfall we hiked to a marsh that stretches into the Hudson River. If you live in the area and your familiar with West Point Military Academy, you can see it across the river.

Now these two are not just beautiful but they're also super savvy. Starting a business on the road is not easy and its something Dan and I aspire to do one day so we give big props to them for starting their own business.

Photographing Garrett and Jordan was a breath of fresh air and a reminder to never stop striving for that damn dream! We photographed, we explored, and we got to know some really awesome people. Which at the end of the day are the 3 the biggest reasons we got into this business in the first place.

And just like that the party of 3 settled into their home on wheels and set off on the road. Perhaps next time Dan and I will be the ones driving through ; )

We hope you guys enjoyed the read! Next Wednesday will likely be related to gear and traveling but you'll have to check in to find out. Have a great week and keep yourselves busy!

As per usual, if you guys have any questions at all! Like what lenses we used, what we keep in our backpacks for adventure shoots, OR if you have any suggestions on what we should talk about in our next blog let us know below! We'd love to hear what you have to say.
